RATTLESNAKES WIN AVCO WORLD TROPHY

The Houston Rattesnakes owned by Bev Seebaran edged out three teams in the last day of the season to win their first Avco World Trophy. The team had poor performances from 06-09 in which the fell near the bottom of the standings. Things changed in the 09-10 season when the team finished third overall but won their first Patrick Division Championship and the Compensation Lottery that season. Last season was another top 16 performance and the team this season pulled together strong performances in the last two weeks to earns its first Avco World Trophy.

PYLONS, THUNDER, SCORPIONS DIVISION WINNERS

The Zurich Thunder claimed their third Norris Division title as they finished second in the overall standings. The Thunder owned by Marty Merner miss out on another possible championship for a second time. After winning the Avco World Trophy in their first season the Thunder then finished second overall in their second season. Now after six seasons they come close again.

Terry Stockdale owner of the Senlac Scorpions won their second consecutive Adams DIvision title after the team lead in the overall standings for a good portion of the season.

Last years Champion the Spruce Grove Pylons took the Smythe Division Championship for the third time in four years.

The Wilkes Barre Grizzlies and the Walnutport Warriors finished third and forth but without a Division title as they both finished second in their respective Divisions. The Grizzlies will receive the third prize award while for the time being the Warriors end up empty handed.

Sixteen teams however are still eligible for the Compensation Lottery prize to be determined in June.
