LEADER OF THE "PACK"

The Wissahickon Wolfpack continue to lead in the NFHL overall standings in the quest for thier first NFHL Championship. The Winnipeg Jets who are the Smythe Division leaders trail the leader by 13 points. The Houston Rattlesnakes and Penhold Stampede are presently tied for third with the Rattlesnakes leading the Patrick Division.

The Punxatawny Punishers continue to lead the Norris Division but presently reside in 7th overall in the standings.

TOP 16 OVERALL

As the battle continues for the overall lead teams continue to also assure a top 16 overall position. All teams in the TOP 16 of the overall standings will be eligible for the Compensation Lottery which comes with a $100 from the prize pool. 7 teams are within 5 pts of the final 16th spot presently held by the struggling Memphis Mad Dogs

NFHL - 2011

The National Fantasy Hockey League continues to strive to improve league structure and game play and the 2010-11 season may see some changes.

The NFHL has sent out several proposals and they continue to take feedback from our present owners. The key item on the agenda is to simplify the transaction process for next season while focusing on the challenge of the roster creation at the beginning of the season.

Here are the highlights of the proposal:

- Transactions simplified to only two types of Transaction either a "Trade" or "IInjury Reserve"
- Farm Team replaced with Reserve Team of 4 to 7 players using cap system.
- Removal of Recall Transaction, Farm Team Eligible Players, Trade Criteria and 8 game rule and NHL IR List
- Transactions accepted daily with simplified activation process

NFHL DRAFT LOTTERY

February 3, 2010
The National Fantasy Hockey League has released details regarding the 2010 NFHL Draft and Compensation Lottery. The top 16 teams in the overall standings will be eligible for the Compensation Lottery. The NFHL champions will have a 10% chance of winning the lottery while the odds will decrease and vary to 2.5% for the 16th overall team.

The Draft Lottery will have 55 teams eligible minus the NFHL Champion with odds varying depending on position in the overall standings. The 56th place team will have a 5% chance of winning the Draft Lottery which will reward the winning with free eligibility to participate in the 2010-11 NFHL Season.
