The Wissahickon Wolfpack defend their NFHL title with 50 teams vying for the Avco World Trophy. The season brings on some new challenges for the GM's with more roster spots available during Phase 1 of player selections and transaction limitations during the month of October.
The NFHL Division alignment has been set with two new team additions and minor team realignment. The Smythe and Adams Division will contain 12 teams while the Norris and Patrick contain 13 teams. Per team request the Pentanguishene Flying P's move from the Smythe to the Norris while the Houston Rattlesnakes take their place in the Smythe from the Patrick Division. The NFHL added two new franchises, the Regina Riders from Saskatchewan Canada that will play in the Patrick Division and the Parry Sound Oars from Ontario Canada that will play in the Adams Division.
This season the NFHL awards the top four overall positions with guaranteed prize pool funding. No guaranteed prize compensation for Division winners but improved odds in the new higher payout Compensation Lottery.
